17 days old today
Earlier this week we had an adventure when the drains started backing up. As we are finding out, having a baby requires a LOT of laundry, we can't have the drains backing up everytime the laundry is done. So, we called the landlord and he had a couple plumbers come to clean up that mess.
We also made a run to Ikea (a furniture store) and got a bunch of new things for here: rocking chair, dresser, a couple small twin mattresses, and more drying racks (lots of baby clothes, especially when we don't get the diaper on properly!).
Tomorrow we plan to go to the US Embassy to start the process of getting Aaron's passport. We have 42 days from his day of birth to have him registered with Singapore, pray that everything goes smoothly!
Aaron is doing well, he sleeps a lot and eats a lot. He usually needs a feeding twice during the night, but often doesn't go back to sleep as he has a lot of gas. We think we've finally figured out the foods that are causing the gas, so Betsy will be avoiding them for a while.
I'm doing well at school, but I've started using an alarm for the first time since moving to Singapore, just not getting quite enough sleep yet to trust myself to wake up on time. Hopefully that sleep time will regulate soon.

Aaron is here and beautiful!
Aaron and Betsy are both doing fine.
The stats:
Aaron was 50 cm, 3.07 kg, with a head circumference of 36 cm.
For those of you who are American (most of us!) That is: 19.7 inches, 6 lb 12 oz, and 14.2 inches.
Sorry, no pictures yet, I forgot to bring my card reader to the hospital! Will post some pics tomorrow!

Forget everything we just said!
Frank and Susie On the Way
We are excited and looking forward to my parents, Frank and Susie,
coming to Singapore. Please be praying for their long trip over. My
dad has also had trouble with humidity and ear infections in the past.
Please be praying for him as it is extremely humid here. We are
rejoicing and praising God that they will arrive soon, February 12th
just after midnight.

Latest Baby Update
On Thursday, February 2nd, I began the weekly visits to the doctor. All
is well! She examined me and said that little Aaron would not be born
this week. I had many questions about the policies of Raffles Hospital
and my doctor, Dr. Lee, regarding medication and breastfeeding. Dr. Lee
was, once again, very inciteful and agreeable to my requests. It sounds
like my experience with labor and delivery will be similar to what it
would be in a U.S. hostpital. I am so glad God provided such an
understanding doctor for us. Your prayers are being answered, and I
thank you tremendously!!
My next appointment is on February 10th. I will keep you posted as much
as possible as the due date approaches.
High Hopes
So, here's hoping the Seahawks can step out of their normal shoes and be introduced all of next year as the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
